Hey all! Hoping for some direction, My Classic Bay 1200 (free standing) will ignite but it will not feed pellets after the ignition cycle. Exhaust fan is working and combustion blower too. I cleaned stove using leaf blower trick end of last season (unhooked vacumm switch to do so) So far I have... Replaced auger motor Replaced thermocouple & cover Removed & cleaned auger Any thoughts on what may be going on? Thanks in advance.
Yes I did reconnect switch and I have the older style control box (if I understand correctly) so the only light is the red call for heat
Quadrafire CB1200 not starting - Control Box Amber light Blinks 3 times not feeding pellets damm links.
I'd bypass the vac switch by jumping the two wires together that go to the switch (unplug stove first) Are you getting enough pellets in the initial pellet dump on startup so the thermocouple gets hot enough to get to 200ish degrees to make the green light go on on the control box?
Yes getting enough pellets. I did jump vacuum switch and that did not seem to make a difference. Thanks for all the advice so far!
Where did you get the thermocouple from? Oh wait, did you replace the therocouple because this was happening?
After the initial dump of pellets ignite on startup, does the green LED on the control box ever come on?
I know there was a bad batch of thermocouples that came out but I think it's been rectified. One thing you can try is swapping the yellow and red thermocouple landing points on the terminal block and see if it works. I know red goes to red and yellow to yellow but in the bad batch they had the colors reversed.
I'm going to watch that closely tonight. To be honest haven't had much time to work on it this week. (Not meant to be a sob story) It's just been "one of those weeks" Pellet stove problems, plumbing problems, car problems but I'm sure nobody here has ever had a week like that lol
