Residential Propane Weekly Heating Oil and Propane Prices (October - March) For whatever reason(s) West Coast data is hard to find.
1.99 a gal. Was payin 2.29 with a different company plus 4.72 convenience fee every fill up. No fee with company im with now. Whats funny is how some of these gas suppliers have a set fees for L.P. GAS usage for home heating, secondary heating then home cooking......each one cost more than the other. I only use lp gas for my garage/shop
I'd take the cheapest one......it all goes from the tank through the same line. Maybe I'm missing something.
I was with Amerigas and there were so many different fees and different plans. My last fill up with them was $4.75 a Gal. that's when I bought my own tank and now I can shop around, but so far the company I bought my tank from is the cheapest per Gal.
Some people only use gas for cooking.....some heating the home n maybe your hot water heater n maybe gas range..maybe clothes dryer...me...i have fuel oil for home....lp for detached garage...so it varies a great deal who uses what for what
If ya have any ....lets say family owned companies...seems like they offer best prices. Amerigas is the last co. i'd go to..
Yep, I get that, but if they have tiered pricing for different uses and it all goes into the same tank.......why would anyone pay for a higher priced version if there's no difference in the fuel except the price? Again, maybe I'm missing something here. Yet another great reason to burn firewood.
Just saying! www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-11-28/ge-s-money-pit-how-a-15-billion-hole-could-get-costlier-to-fix www.isixsigma.com/new-to-six-sigma/what-six-sigma/
Ok..usually for cooking...you may have 1-2 100# cylinders (24-48 gallons)....add hot water and or dryer ....maybe 1 or 2 300# tanks (75-150 gallons)......home heating....500-1000# tank ....so its the amount times they have to stop n fill.....n how much gas you actually buy from them. My gas supplier has a set fee reguardless....most dont...
Ah. Buy/get a bigger tank and then buy the cheapest LP for all uses. One delivery to rule them all. I know, it's never that simple.
Yep the tiered pricing is calculated by how much your estimated to use. The more you use the cheaper it is. My experience is the larger the company the higher the price and the worse the service. I had a great small company owned by a friend of a friend. They got bought up by a large company. Then I ran out of gas. Didn’t realize the new laws make that a bad thing. Now they have to test all the appliances and entire system for leaks $$$ plus the price of the propane doubled. Called my friend again and he gave me the number of his new friend. Large company wanted $4.00. New friend gave it to me for promotional 99 cents and we will just pretend the tank isn’t empty. Can’t ask for better than that.
Amerigas is a rip off. I’m looking to buy s 500 gallon tank. Not sure best place to find one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
