Has anyone else had any problems with there Quad wireless tstat ? My E2 has a Skytech wireless and it kinda has a mind of its own. Biggest problem is it will lose communication with the receiver in the stove and results in the receiver beeping and a cold stove/house. It happens infrequently. Last season it happened a few times and after the recall was done late in the season it didn't happen again . This season went well until about 2 weeks ago when it was beeping in the middle of the night and I reset it and it fired off. I put new, fresh batteries in it and put it on the coffee table a mere 6 feet away from the stove and went well for a few days and then wifey came home to beeping/cold on consecutive days. I have also hit the button in the stove to allow the units to pair. I called the dealer and they will install wired tstat under warranty if we want, but I don't know if we want it.

Any ideas on how to make the skytech a little more reliable ?

What model Skytech? I've had a few times my Skytech lost communication with my Fahrenheit Endurance, but I was pushing the boundaries on distance to the receiver.

I finally went to a wired stat this year.. No problems..

I could leave it on low if it were cold enough, but if its in the high 20s or 30s I need to use the tstat or it is just too hot in here.

Pretty sure the MT V E2 has a proprietary stat and will not except after markets stats.

The newer Quad T-Stats have more than just 2 wires so they can display info fed back from the Stove (called Data Controllers) they can display important messages like "Hopper is Low on Pellets" but that only works if the Hopper pellet sensor is clean and in good working order! If you have only 2 wires for the T-Stat then a generic Sky-Tech wireless will work. However why have a wireless remote that is expensive to replace and feed Alkaline batteries when you can hook up a Smartphone by downloading the free app?

Pics below shows Quad T-Stat in Shed and Harman T-Stat in workshop on the iPhone 6 plus

Workshop has air conditioner on right now so it is quite a bit cooler than the shed!
Cannot wait to get that new iPhone App and Hub to control the air conditioners! :)

How many wires are going to the Reciever in the stove? If more than 2 then you have a proprietary T-Stat and can only use that one or lose a lot of reporting functions.
