    PTL results: FINAL RESULTS

Temp Average - 260-320 (on door thermometer)

    Ash Volume - 5.75 ounces

    Ash Weight - 1.10 ounces

    Ash Percentage - 0.17 (outstanding)

Fines In Bag - less than 1/8 cup (was next to nothing)

    Pellet Length Avg. - 1/4" - 1.5" see pic

Bag Weight - 40.4 lbs. (9.85 oz. left in hopper)

    Notes:
    Bought from Lowe's Bethlehem
    $230 a ton
Almost no fines (couldn't believe it)
Screwed up and didn't buy a ton of these!

Well, purely based off the "look" of the pellets, I wasn't expecting anything great. There were some longer (1.5") pellets and the pellets vary in color. Boy was I wrong on that! Last years PTL's were EXCELLENT and I still have 20 bags or so leftover. This bag did not disappoint either. With the exception of my auger crunching the longer pellets once in a while these also should have been my go to this year (based on price, ash and burn). What pizzes me off is I bought the supposed "real" Ligs and they have double the ash of their "box store" brand. WTF is up with that?

Disclaimer: as with everything.......YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY

x2, Last seasons were about the color of a light coffee-ish. Cleanest pellet I burnt last season(besides the samples I was teased with!) and nice heat too. 25 bags still in the stash and wishing I could find some more for this season.

Sub, I remember trying to track these down in Maine last year and I think I found some at KMart in Waterville. I will see what I can find this year as I am traveling around, I am on the road most every day.
