Been a pretty good year for scrounges. First pic is from a CL ad. Huge Ash rounds. Does not look like so much in the rounds, but was three truckloads after cutting to length and quartering with wedges. The second pic is the pile of splits it rendered. Split like.....well.... Ash. Was hardly a chore. Third pic is the Maple that I mentioned in the "Over Hoarded" thread. Made it home over the weekend (even with a Craft Brew Festival on Saturday) Still have my bed full to add to it. This will not be so easy to split. Getting the rounds busted up was the toughest Maple I have ever split. Noodled a bunch of it. That pile will keep me busy for a bit. All in all though can't complain. Seems to be a lot of good wood laying around this year.
