Nice work. With all those logs may I suggest you stack higher under that roof :)

How many cubic feet in your firewood bags? They look nice and full.

1.5 cu ft in the bags. Stacks are about 6'. Lina,my firewood helper is 4'11" and 87 lbs. She builds em as high as she can reach. 20 year old 1/2 vietnamese that's still working when the boys gave up. I'll keep her even if she can't reach any higher.

Nothing wrong with a good helper. I’d keep her too. Also noticed the big log on top of the pile. That one makes me cringe because I don’t have anything like forks that reach in the air LOL

Yeah, I kinda wish he hadn't put it up there. White Oak about 36" x 12'. Got set up there by a log truck. I'll pull a few out and when it moves back away fast. That'll be more than my tractor wants I think.

Late to the party...somehow missed this thread :emb:

Some great stacks AC. Good supply of logs on hand too.

With wood always coming in it must feel like a constant uphill climb. Liking those wood bundles too.

amateur cutter nothing amateur about your operation. I like to get a load of logs delivered some day. All I ever get is an occasional Tree Service drop off which we all know is anywhere from 12 in to 4 ft long and usually a bunch of crotches.

Nah, just money in the bank.
Log loads are well worth it imo. I generally prefer to log and haul my own for the reasons you've just stated. Consistent lengths make processing on the other end much more efficient and enjoyable.
