And some more, the hit & miss engines belong to my buddy and his dad. They were all running except for the saw, they ran that later. The black cut out in the shape of NH was made by a blacksmith from Maine who was working the forge, I had to buy it.
NH mountain man - is that the oldest Deerfield t-shirt in New England, that you are wearing? 2006. I'm with ya. If it fits, wear it.
Love the Deerfield Fair! We don't go most years because getting there is impossible on the weekend, traffic gridlock.
It's the oldest one I have, they don't put out a shirt every year. I do have the fair posters going back to 70's, only missing a few years. The posters line the walls in the barn.
Opening day, Thursday, is the day to go. Friday isn't crazy traffic. But, the weekend is nuts unless you get there at 7 or 8 in the morning.
I heard about the insane traffic, been the reason I haven't gone there yet. Well, that and I HATE big crowds. I've been contemplating putting my boat up for the winter in one of the Deerfield Fair barns. Not sure if it makes sense to do that, or my own yard yet.
Some more pics, Mrs. Mt. Man took home some ribbons. Some of my fair posters, that other walls are blocked with junk.
Congrats Mrs. NH mountain man! This doesn't surprise us....Best tasting garden in NH! Nice job taking pictures, they are fantastic! I love the "Live free or Die" piece! Your camp might be flooding John! We're getting hammered big time!
What a rush, first and second place ribbons! For pickled cherry tomatoes and dill pickle spears? That is awesome!
