The other day one of the guys at work mentioned he was going to sell his 22 mag Henry with an Octagon barrel as he bought the Golden Boy edition. Ended up buying it off of him for $200 with 50 rounds of ammo. It is a year old and in perfect condition so I don't think it was to bad of a deal. Put about 50 rounds through it and it shoots great.
Considering these things are going for around $450 used, you stole that rifle. I'm sure it won't let you down, .22 magnum is nothing to scoff at for what it was designed for.
Ill be buying a golden boy this spring. My father always wanted one and is turning 60 this May. Its a no brainer for me, he is going to finally get "His" rifle. He has a scoped 10/22, had a pump .22 when he was a boy. But has stated numerous times over the last 20 years at how he always wanted a golden boy. He's only gonna turn 60 once.
I shot a Henry Golden Boy that a friend just bought a couple weeks ago and was very impressed. My Henry 22 is the standard blued model that has served well over the years. 200 bucks with ammo was the deal of the year.
