Picked it up a couple days ago. Have not had a chance to use it. Hope it will be a good one. Opted for the light weight 24" bar after the 391 seemed so bar heavy. Put a 20" on the 391 and it seems like a different saw. Now have a 260 with 20", 391 with a 20" and 24" and the 362 with the 24" LW. I can always use the 20" on the new saw also. Seems like a good spread on saws for the amount of wood I use! new saw.jpg

Did the dealer work with you upgrading the bar, or was it extra, extra, extra...$$$$

I bought the same saw this summer and it is saweet. The 362 runs circles around my ms251. You are going to enjoy the 362.

I have the 362 also. Good chip clearance for noodling and very easy to start. IMG_20180824_114949.jpg

Nice saw! I'm betting the 391 sits most of the time. 260 & 362 is a pretty good 2 saw plan.

You will love that 362, I thought about the 391 when we bought ours a few years ago, but after looking at both, got the 362. It is almost a pound lighter, has a bit more power and is pro grade. Pulls a 25" bar fine, especially with a full skip chain in big wood.

I love my 362! I run it with a 16" combo and with that setup it's a mean tree eating machine. You gonna love it! Have fun!:salute: :dex:

Mornin’ all. Learn me something please. I don’t understand the nomenclature of Stihl’s saw designations. Is the 362 a 62cc saw? I don’t own a Stihl but always keep my eyes open for a deal on a pro grade saw. Perhaps I’ll become a convert...

    Typically if a Stihl saw starts with a 0 (i.e 044, 046) that is the saw's displacement in cubic inches....so a 044 is 4.4 cubic inches...or 72cc.

If it starts with a 3 or 4 (i.e 362) then you look at the first two numbers...3.6ci or 58 cc.

I'm not sure if that holds true with homeowner saws or not. There's a recent post on here somewhere that someone did a way better job of explaining some of the intricacies of these saws' naming conventions.

I think you would like it, especially if you got a port and MM done to it. I want to get mine done, but can't turn it loose right now.

Thanks for the positive comments! I got mine with a 24" bar but will probably get a 20" for general use. The 391 seems to finally be breaking in and is really screaming with the 20" bar. Stihl haven't had a chance to use the 362. Unfortunately I bought it just as I ran out of room for more wood. :(
