Yup I’m going to be bummed if they don’t last like other china junk files. Bought 12 because they are only going to get higher and didn’t think Pferds would be made in china.

Making files is not hard or expensive when it is automated. I really don't know why they cost so dang much.

    Inflation....lol

Pferd must sub contract to some Chinese file manufacturer. I don't buy Pferd anyway. I buy Simmonds.

I tried a pferd a while back and it was ok, but didn't stay sharp very long.

Dang, that sucks but I think we'll be seeing more of this. Germany has a serious energy problem, and lots of steel manufacturing of all kinds is on the wane. Might as well by those redneck convent files now. I bought a couple dozen of the save edge files this spring, and I actually liked them well enough.

I should mention that I am referring to Europe as a whole. Kinda wondering what this bodes for both big chainsaw manufacturers.

Well they can change their name to "Dferd" if thats the case.

I usually use Oregon or Swiss/German made. Chinese ones dull fast.
