    England's Stove Works
    Summers Heat

    Model - 55SHPAH

    Serial number 5156
    Man. Date: 05/12

    Purchased 10/08/13

Have receipt, manual, service video/CD, and chimney goes with.

Bought it on sale at Lowes and got another 10% off on stove. With taxes it came to $1471.46.

I think insulated chimney kit was another $250 at least. So about $1720 total invested. Burned one season (13/14), and currently using it now.

Make me an offer. I'm going to move my back up cord wood stove to the camp for heat.

With your acess to so much wood, I can see why you want the wood stove over the pellet stove. Will be a good buy for someone.

I will make it a good buy for someone. The problem will be finding someone who wants one this late in the season.

Yup. I made a mistake. It is handy to be able to go two days or more with the pellets, but I don't care for all the cleaning, etc. And I have plenty of wood. Hopefully I can find someone who is looking for one.

  I knew it. I knew AT LEAST one pellet head would have drank too much last night, and/or TODAY, to turn Pellet stove FOR SALE into your giving it away! :faint:

I wouldn't call it a mistake. It didn't fail, just didn't prove to be the best option for you. All in life's learning curve.
I would still be burnig firewood, but physically, it was a good option for me. I had burned it for years and loved the heat.
Didn't have a chimney access this last time so I went to pellets. We can handle those for now. Still would put a wood stove in if I could overcome some of the barriers. I still have a small wood coal stove stored in the garage. Couldn't part with it. It would be ideal for us during power outages. Just too much overhead to get set up.

You know. Looking back on my decision, I had asked the crew about stoves and I had considered a larger model that had a "plenum" for lack of a better term. A spot on top you could hook up a rectangular duct kit and run two 6" pipe/register lines to. I was going to put it in the basement of the camp so it would be more like a furnace. But two things went against that. First the price was more than double what this was. Second, we wanted to see the fire up here in the camp.

She's burning away right now. Toasty.
