I figured it would be good for disposing of junk pellets. Anyone have one?

I got it on clearance for 30 dollars, you put 2 to 3 inches of pellets in it and light it. It is a gasification fire pit so no smoke once it is up to temperature.

I have one....meh, it's ok. You can't put a whole lot of pellets in it or you'll really have to fuss with it to get it to light and burn.

Is that the genie? Once lit, a handful at a time, it seems to run pretty good. Puts out some heat for the size, and will smoke during the beginning and during reloads.

I may try it with regular wood as well, I have a small camp stove of the same design that uses sticks and twigs.

I have one, it's a Flame Genie I think. It works good for short fires, once you have to reload its kind of a pain, but doable. I've burned pellets, sticks and small splits in mine with good results.

I use mine when we want to have a quick fire outside, otherwise I'll use my El Fuego wood stove outside.

I'd buy another at the $99ish I paid for it.

Glad to know you are happy with it, and glad to know it works with sticks and small split up wood.

IMG_0786.JPG IMG_0788.JPG IMG_0791.JPG IMG_0792.JPG So, my official review of the flame genie....We had a very entertaining flame for 1 hour or so. I threw in a handful of pellets every few minutes to try to keep it going. I let it die down after an hour, and was surprised that the 2 inches of pellets continued to glow and burn blue flame for another hour, creating enough heat to make it worthwhile. 4 beers later....ok, 6, I dumped the very few coals and ashes remaining. It will never be a bonfire, but a cool enough toy to kill a few hours.
