Over the past two months I've been posting some pictures of a firewood hoarders delight. May 15 - the beginning of the scrounged lots of wood. . May 28 - still lots of wood. May 29. June 6 June 13. June 14. June 22 - a lot of firewood left this site! June 22 - the last load for me. The final score was 12 cords to Granny's, 5 1/2 cords to our house, and 1/2 cord to the Pastor's house.
Amazing what a guy can accomplish when the wood is all in one place and on flat ground. You posted some really good threads on this cedar score of yours.
That's impressive! And your labor will pay you back for a long time. An achievement you can be proud of.
Someone kept at it! Do you cut and split until the supply normally runs out and wait until the next time they drop them?
Way beyond impressive! Determination, skills, right tools= amazing hoard! And sharing all that progress along the way.....that’s FHC “priceless” Now take a well deserved rest campinspecter
Allan, my hat is off to you sir. That is an accomplishment you can be very proud of for a long time. In addition, I know you made 2 ladies very happy and proud along with your pastor. Now I hope you take a well-deserved day off or maybe more! Allan; Hoarder of the year!
Awwwwwww .... So maybe 4 - 5 k worth or more of oil heat equivalent all stashed not too much longer ready to go.
I did most of my cutting on week days as it gets crowded with cutters on the weekends , and on only two occasions was there another cutter there . I decided to cut as long as the wood supply lasted as the Pastor would have liked to have gotten more wood ,but will keep an eye on the area should more wood arrive .
Thanks for taking the time to post your hoarding adventure thus allowing us to go along for the ride! Glad to see you made good use of an easy score!
campinspecter managed to find two more truck loads in the debris. There was a log hiding behind another rotten one. The Pastor is going to be pleased with the two extra loads.
Well done my friend, hats off to you and your hard work. I bet Woodwidow is glad to have her husband back! After all that hard work!
