Looking to build one at work so I can put it under my patio or in the doorway of my shop. Angle the chimney up and out to take the smoke away. Suggestions on stove design, thickness of plate, etc?
    Thanks!

That's an interesting idea. I might suggest that you get castors with breaks on them so it won't roll when you set it up. You might want to try to find an existing stove like an old fisher and then weld your wheel system onto it. That would be quick down and dirty.

Also, if you have to roll it around off of the concrete, and need rubber tires, you will probably need to plan for heat deflectors to protect the tires. Solid steel castors would eliminate that issue, but not be very friendly to roll across the yard.

I have seen some really nice stoves built out of 1/4" plate, and even lined with fire brick. The biggest challenge is the door. The best one I ever seen done, had a store bought cast iron door on it. Of course if you are not really worried about a little leakage you can just make a steel door and not worry about air leakage, and still have a very useable stove.

One more idea, which would be down and dirty, and easy to do is just build a wood stove out of a steel 55 gallon drum, and it's light when empty, won't really need wheels to move around. I built one years ago for camping. I made adjustable legs for it to level it on uneven ground. It worked just fine for heating a tent.
