We decided to take a trip with friends to Surfside Beach SC. Her mom owns a small house in this huge campground. We got here Tuesday afternoon. Erik B said I had to take or it didn't happen... On the road... The main entrance to the campground The house...small single level lots like this are $8K a year rent. The lots with houses like this are 12K ... This is the pond... From the right side of the pond to the beach...far end of this street, used to be small trailers. Hurricane Hugo wiped this area out. Now it's rebuilt with houses... We had ice cream for supper last night And saw a custom golf cart, made like a 'vette Beach view of part of the campground I went to the beach early this morning for some sunrise pics Found a small starfish, still alive, released it back to the water More sunrise pics Getting the right angle Broken shells... Even found some strange shells on the beach... Dead blue crab in the dunes... Saw 1 vacant lot... We'll see what other adventures we get in to this week.
Are you buying the vacant lot? How far is it from myrtle? Don’t ask me why, but I half expected to see a sunrise picture of you burning a fat J on the beach. Happy Anniversary! Enjoy your break
We're on the edge of Myrtle Beach. Campground wraps around to both city limits. Can't handle the skunk weed...tried that long time ago. The lots are rented...I don't sell as much firewood as the guy in Nashville...
Sweet, my folks have a similar place in N Myrtle. I’m sure I’ve been on Sunset beach before. Short walking distance down the beach from myrtle.
A few more of our shenanigans today... Rode the Skywheel Our friends, Bro Stan and his wife, Suzanne. He is our preacher at Deepstep Myrtle Beach on each side... We ate dinner with their daughter and granddaughter at an Italian bakery/diner... Mighty fine desserts and breads Miz Carol is happy... The Scooby Doo gang
Thanks T.Jeff Veal Great pics. I knew you would come thru with some fantastic pictures for those of us who don't do a lot of traveling anymore. Happy 35th also.
Happy anniversary. Sounds like a good trip. Rent seems cheap enough considering location and how things are now a days
Enjoy your vacation and anniversary! There's a nice walkway between the hotels and beach. Unless it has changed, I recall the walkway was a location for questionable people. There were 4 of us, and certainly didn't feel comfortable. This was about 10yrs ago. Good luck with the rest of your trip!
I've heard of the boardwalk, we saw part of it from the Skywheel yesterday. Thought about going fishing, 4 hr inshore trip was gonna be almost $700......
