Our third winter sitting around this little stove. It replaced a cast iron Asian Scandinavian knock off we used for over 30 years. It is in an alcove on the main floor with rooms which are mostly open and it easily heats the whole floor but never roasts us out of the alcove. The first winter took some learning in log size loading aided by breaking the door glass. Osburn had the replacement at our door later that week! Currently burning tamarack, poplar, and Manitoba maple.

5 hour burn time fairly accurate ?
that has a really nice size ash shelf under the door

Was the cast iron Asian Scandinavian knock a Scandia ?
They proudly put their Scandia name on all their knock-offs until they got a court ordered cease and desist. Then they sold some for a while with no name on them. I still have a Scandia 400 but there is no name on it anywhere.
