This was on sale at TSC... FOREST KING 22 TON LOG SPLITTER

CTC also had a Champion 20 ton for $200 less but the supervisor said none were assembled and they refused to sell it to me like that. I argued I didn't want it assembled because it makes it very hard to tie down securely in my 6 1/2 foot box and I frankly don't trust anyone else putting it together.
He still refused so I told him fine, I'll buy the one at TSC...which I did.
Had to order it online and I'll pick it up unassembled at my store in a week or so.

I know this isn't the best out there and would have preferred a DHT or Wallenstein but I can't justify spending that kind of money right now on a splitter

Does anyone have one of these (22 ton) and has it been okay for you?
Oh, it has a 6 1/2 hp Kohler engine and a spin on filter for the hydraulic fluid, something the Champion didn't have.

Is that the Huskee one? If so that is one of the most talked about splitters out there for the money.

I would of just waited till they had one assembled and paid $200 less and just looked over it and torqued the bolts. Not much to do wrong on them.

I have no idea. I can't seem to find any reviews on the 22 ton. I looked at it this morning on the floor and it looks strong enough for what I need.
He said the only ones they assemble are the ones for show, which is what I was looking for. A square flat crate isn't going to roll around in my truck. I got this on sale for $700 off so I can't complain.

It's a Forest King. A lot of those Chinese models are probably made by just one company but I can't seem to find out much about these, good or bad.

They have the larger FK splitters, but they might be able to speak to the quality and ease of assembly.....

Haha. I couldn't remember but I knew it was a lot. I was thinking like $7000 worth or something and at the price they were that was probably like 12 or so?

I ended up with 23 total after it was all said and done..
    I still have 4 or 5.

I had a bad accident before i was able to get rid of the remaining splitters i have left.

They are good splitters, for sure.
We ran one continues for almost 34 some hours.
me and 4 other guys, it was a hoot.

Assembly is easy, the beam is a heavy piece.
follow the instructions, it'll explain how to assemble it all in the easiest way possible.

Go through ALL of the parts and tools included.
When you find the black cup.. And you cant figured out what its for..
    Let me know.. lol
    Good times
