    All,
    I need some help. I am looking for parts for an old model Stihl 046 av. My friend has one for a chainsaw mill but it is having issues with the ignition. I cannot find anything on the older models. Is there a good source for parts other than the dealer? I will post a picture of the saw soon.

    The 1128 coils (046/460) have had some changes over the model years. Some 046s had the three-holed 1309 coil that was a strong runner. It’s also coveted by certain 064 fans from NY lol.
    Do not try the aftermarket coils. They’re prone to failures.
    Any used 460 coil should work. The universal coil (1300?) will work.
