old cast iron

    Think I can bring these back to life? Found while cleaning out one of my buildings. They're not cracked but some are pretty rusty.

    Thanks for the links guys. I think im gonna try the lye bath first and see how good it turns out. If they need more i'll try the electrolysis.

    Cast iron is definitely worth keeping. The previous posts with the rust removal and reseasoning should have those back in the game.

    I'm also curious of the age of the outbuildings, how old the pans might be, and who used them/bought them/forged them ?

    This property has been in my family since the early 1900's. It was a blueberry/cranberry farm that my dads great uncle owned. The building these came from was probably built in the 40's or 50's. A few of the irons have the wagner Ware logo that looks to be from that same time.
