We have discussed it and feel the cover should be a pic from a member. Seeing as the book is going to take a long time we will start collecting pics from members. The voting will be when we get close to finishing the book. It is a long ways off so theres plenty of time to enter before we setup the pole! Please keep this thread on topic so its easy for everybody to see the pics.

    Here are the rules.
    1) Enter pic in THIS thread to be considered.
    2) It must be food related!
    3) It can be Wood stove, Fire pit, Brick / Mud oven related, or traditional kitchen.
    4) The Cover can be a picture, painting or drawing so long as its within the guidelines.

When it comes time we will set a poll up and the members will vote for the winner! Staff will not be voting though they can enter pics for the cover its for members to vote.

I'm nominating someone (fishingpol) but he doesn't know it and I don't care. :p It doesn't have to be this picture but maybe something like it.

Yes, it's gonna be tough for sure! But I think most will agree that Jon's wood fired pics are gonna be hard to beat.....

Hey everyone. I've been off here for a few days resting from a sinus infection and working out in the cold weather part of my day has drained me of a lot of energy. Thanks devilsbrew for the nomination. Those wood-fired fajitas in the pic were excellent. There are so many other great pictures from members here that are truly deserving also.

Thanks for the kind words on the oven, I appreciate that. Out of respect, I really want to recuse any pictures of the oven being considered for the cover. There is a back story on the oven that symbolically takes it out of the running.

I really think Scotty's keyhole fire pit should be on the cover. The cover picture should be more than just a mouth-watering plate of food. The keyhole pit is the embodiment of why we are here. His enthusiasm of making that pit was a driver in bringing all of the food threads happen. That would be my nomination.

I have an idea for a picture that will give these a run for their money, but it will take some time to make it happen.

Dang, that makes me feel old. I came to love it as a teen. Haven't had any since mom died 25 years ago. Now I'm nostalgic.
