I’m trying to figure out what he’s watching on the center screen. Doesn’t look anything like the view of the boom. I think he’s watching a dadgum nature video. :)

Looks boring to me I enjoy the satisfaction and adrenaline from dropping a tree then relaxing as I limb and buck it.

They used one of those on my woods. The forester told me that workmen’s comp insurance is reduced 30 percent if a company is using one

I think the FHC should chip in and get one. Maybe trade in the corporate helicopter.

Can you imagine workers using the first one of these gizmos that actually worked to fell and laydown an entire tree from the comfort of a cab? I'll bet that was a wowza moment. Game changer for sure!

When they cleared the lots next door, they had a forestry head like that on a front end loader. Drove up to the tree, grabbed it, cut it off at ground level and rotated it to lay it on the ground. Impressive to see the FEL maneuvering around choosing a spot to put the whole tree. One day they had all the trees cut down in one piece each. The next day they took the forestry head off the FEL and put on a grapple to pick up the whole tree one at a time to feed into a huge chipper that ate the whole tree stump end first. blowing the chips into a tractor trailer. So sad to see the maple and oak trees get turned into chips in minutes. All the pine trees- not so much. I never heard a chainsaw.
