    Sorry, but I have never thought speed was necessary when working with equipment like this. That is one of the biggest causes of so called "accidents."

    Bandsaw was a bit spooky but the splitter design is actually pretty safe. Wedge doesn't come close to the deck, just don't put your hands on top of the wood.
