Didn't really feel like splitting today anyway.
I know its an easy fix but still an excuse not to start the splitter. 20220926_154649.jpg

Looks like that one has some miles on it.
Just FYI, when they fray/pull apart like that its usually from the cord being too short...they don't like that sudden stop when you get to the end...when replacing I always wrap as much length as I can on the pulley so that can't happen as easily...5-6' if possible.
Hopefully it'll go better next time Dave  hate to see ya hafta :axe: ;)

I did the same thing this summer after dragging my splitter out to my rounds pile. Unfortunately I didn’t have the same excuse cause mine started on the pull that broke the cord:rofl:  just kept gas in it for a few hours while I split them fixed it when I got home.

My cord is not broken... and I have a half cord of ash waiting in the driveway. I want to get that done before this weekend's rains. Tonight after work sounds like a good time for it!

That amount will complete Cord Number 10! Yep... I'm feeling it!
