I'm almost done. About an hour or so I'll go sweep out the ash and start the next batch. My buddy gbreda took a liking to these a few seasons back and now I know why.

    Da good stuff IMHO!!

    Up next LaCrete's. ;)

I think we definitely need a tab or a sticky or something to make reviews easier to find.

I made a sticky at the top of the pellet page. Open and then clink the link. Poof your there!

We have a thread going on idea's for this. If this sticky link thingy doesn't fly? Please post comments in the thread.

OK, I found it. Can you make it so that when you click on the sticky it opens up the list of reviews without having to click another link?

Good to know that they are still burning well!! How were the pellets/fines? That was last year's issue-lots of small broken pieces and a fair amount of fines-no problem for a bottom feeder stove though. My dealer isnt carrying them this year due to some of these issues his customers had and he has brought back the Okie varieties plus Spruce Pointe is back producing pellets for heat again this year. Also, I think the price increased to the level of Spruce Pointe which was always his go to brand before getting to the LaCrete and Okie price levels.

Overall I thought they burned well and kept us warm with some minor issues in the way of a film buildup on the whole firebox that had to be cleaned with steel wool at the end of the season.

Fines were OK, Well within current specs. I didn't see any pellets under 1/4" long. They did well in my stove. The local dealer is getting $290/ton where the La Crete's and Okies are over $300++++ so they are a viable option. Sprucie's are still MIA down here. As are many other brands. The 3 brands I am testing are about all I source due to this pellet crunch. Still pretty hard to find pellets as most box store are dry. Pellet house's still have only limited supplies for what I can see.

Okies Platinum are also MIA. I could probably score Golds, But again pretty pricey for a pellet that doesn't quite match a BC softy quality from what I have seen and heard! These North Countries do a good job when stacked against the BC stuff. I'd spend $290 on these before I'd spend $300 plus on the Gold's!!

Burning the La Crete's now, For the extra$10(or so) bucks. I'd probably splurge and get these instead. Heck of a pellet IMHO!! Best I have burned this season and I want more!!

Yeah that's why I went with LaCrete as my go to pellet this year. At 289/ton I got 2 pallets as I have almost 1.5 ton of Sprucies from 2 seasons ago.

My g/f just had to load up with the Okie Platinums at 320/ton as these were the only good pellet she could get last week from our dealer. At this point, she just wants to have the fuel on hand and be warm.

The LaCretes (now at 294/ton) have been stalled and he has been waiting for his refill orders. More Spuce Pointe are on the way too but no real ETA there either. Glad I bought in June !!

I try to fly straight, Its that darn :vulture:fault!! :p

All the boxes in my area are supposed to get stock in soon(my luck its prolly junk as usual!). We'll even see GT's at Lowes(alert from robbie says next week). I'm keeping my eye out for the AWF WP's, should be a good testing come xmas time off! I might have 2 whole weeks to play. If I can't locate em I'll PM and see if the bristol rt 6 store has some. I can fly over one night after work. Its just a run up the hill from Thomaston.
