I've been slacking on my hoarding for the last 8 months if not longer. Just cutting up 2 down trees on the trail. Working on projects, (the main one being finishing the interior of my garage), work, weather and family functions taking my time. I'm surprised my membership to the club hasn't been revoked! I'm still on 3 year plan, but barely. Luckily I was 4 years ahead. But N.M.E! (No More Excuses)

I had some cherry rounds stacked in the woods that I've been itching to get split and stacked. So that was my plan this weekend.

First I had to reclaim my stacks. Its like the freaking Amazon jungle going on.

After taking care of jungle removal, I moved the rounds down. Some weight with the bigger ones.

Started to hand split a little Saturday but mostly worked on Sunday . Mostly used the splitting axe. Still have 3 huge rounds in the woods too heavy to move, so need to get to them. Those and a face cord of other cherry, and TOH should make a full cord.

Felt good to get back at it!

Nice to see you back in action sir. :axe: Life happens. The appeal of the three year plan. We wont hold it against you! :D

Some of my areas could use a good weed whacking too. Too lazy to put new line on the trimmer!:emb:

Yep. Back in action here as well. PXL_20250907_183731686.MP.jpg

This is just outdoor firewood, ash, Norway maple, pine, a little honey locust shorts or branch wood, and most will go to my boating friends, but I got that all split. I also hauled and stacked a trailer load of wood into the shed. I've got about 2 more trailer loads left on hand that need to get moved and stacked. Which by my calculations, I'll need at least 1 more load of wood, if not 2, to fill up the bay for the 26-27 season.

Hopefully I can haul another trailer full before dark tonight.
