That looked like a nice size tree and some good looking wood sitting in that trailer. Nice.

Great load of wood there, I know you process a lot. How are doing this year Greg , are you on track for what you need?

Next winter is in the leanto, so just piling for up for the future. Maybe have 10 cords in the future pile and like to end year with 30 so I think I’m on track. Weather still crazy around here, hailed on us tonight during the gig! Still 50 at night so still burning splitter scraps.

Nice load but don’t look like honey locust. You have a good picture of the leaves?

Since I started doing gigs for the tree company, I end up bringing home a load of something most nights so it adds up over time

Honey locust doesn’t have a furrowed bark like the stuff pictured. Bark varies but leaves don’t lie, wish I could see the leaves better. V A7306789-5ABD-4FBD-A29E-D0D04A95D4E3.jpeg

I found one partially intact branch, does it help ID it? It light Orange inside but looks darker due to being very wet.

Nice load, Greg! How's it smell? I took some honey Locust home today as well, according to the tree guy who cut it. The base looked furrowed like yours, and would have measured two or three feet if he cut it. (Quick cheap job I think, stump was left at about ten feet.. unless he's going to finish later) Further up looks like the stock photos rdust posted. I got limb wood, tree guy kept the big stuff for himself. Can't blame him. :) This tree must have been ornamental - no thorns. I'll post a thread on it in a moment.
