I just pulled this home this evening. It needs one new tire, the others look serviceable. The wheel bearings are good & the front end is tight & not worn out. The hoist works, it may need the hose replaced but fortunately my brother has a crimping machine & all the supplies. It also an extendable tongue to help with hooking up. I would like to eventually take it to my buddy & have him split the tailgate & make two swinging doors. It will hold over a cord of wood if I stack it, I will eventually put some extension on the sides to increase capacity. Best of all it was free, I may have a lead on 2 more but I haven’t laid eyes on them.
Lol. I need no dog. We have been petless 10 years now. First time in both of our lives we haven't had animals of some type since being kids. We love dogs but the freedom is nicer at this stage. I like your dog though. Id take her home
Well, that’s all going to depend on the weather & how harvesting goes. Once we get rolling I won’t have much time to do any wood cutting or anything else. I have visions of it full of oak splits but that just a pipe dream right now…
I am checking tire sizes, ply ratings & load capacities to determine sideboard height for tolerable load limits. It probably doesn’t need sideboards but it would look a lot better with them on there.
Nice trailer. That should come in handy. Between you and me if that tire holds air I’d run it. The rubber on those old industrial strength tires is just for show LOL I’ve seen Lulls on big jobs running on canvas when I got there and still on canvas a year or two later when I left.
Lefty used to have a couple similar to that. Sold them after he got his current dump trailer. Nice find and can't beat the price.
