Snagged this little 026 today off of offerup. All original 1 owner says he hasn't ran it in 3 years. Got a good deal on it, shouldn't be to much to get this little thing running. Definitely needs a new fuel line. Anywho.

    Happy Easter,

Wow that is one clean looking saw either that guy hardly used it or he took reallygood care of it. I have an 026 with an 18" bar, it's possibly my favorite mid-size saw. It has a mild port and a base gasket delete. For a little saw it has quite a bit of grunt! Again awesome find!:dex: Next question how much did you pick it up for?

You guys will probably hate me but It cost me only 100$ about 5 miles from my house. Has good compression. I normally wouldn't have bought a saw without compression testing or at least running the saw in some wood but from it's appearance i would bet it will only need very minor replacements to be back in some wood. I plan to thoroughly look over the saw tomorrow night.

Yep, you suck! A 026 in that shape go for $250 +++ around here! I try to buy everyone within distance! The 026 would be my favorite saw if it had flippy caps!

Haha thanks guys I am pretty excited about this saw. I was just looking it over and I hadn't even noticed that the the 026 metal tag still has the plastic on it. The previous owner for sure took care of this thing. I'm in the process of removing the muffler and looking at the piston right now. Well see what she looks like and post pictures when possible.

I think that’s the original chain too. It’s got some kind of early safety-type bumpers on there?

Yep, early chain, I had one like that. What a pain to file the rackers! I got ride of it.

Yeah same bar and chain that came with it. Triple hump safety chain. It appears that he grinded this chain because it's razor sharp. I tried to take a picture last night but couldn't get my camera to focus right.[IMG]

That saw spent a whole lot more time in the case than it did in the field! Nice score!

Thanks and offerup is a pretty hit and miss type of app, but it got me this saw and other basic necessities. I would definitely recommend at least checking it out. Cost nothing and you might find a sweet deal.

Nice score, I love the 026 and I have 1 shelf queen and a daily driver. I sold one recently that was a little rough but a good runner for twice what you paid.
