So I had 3 old saws given to me and one is a Wright blade saw. I have not touched it yet but I am very curious to see how this thing works. First thing to do is to pour a little mix into it to see if it will fire or not.
I also read that these got used in slaughter houses at one time. Do not know if that is true or not.

We have had a couple of them at our Spring Get to Gethers and they are neat, but slow compared to a chain. I've heard the comments on slaughterhouse use as well.

Can't say I've seen one of those before. Looks like it would give you Popeye arms running that for a while  The float bowl on that carburetor is huge! I wonder if that was to overcome running it at steep angles?

Some models came with 3 blades. All purpose ,hardwood and meat cutting. Nothing like a little 16:1 seasoning on your steak.

This exactly why we use a Sawzal on the Christmas roast.

They were available as compressed air powered units, too. Those would have been the way to go for the slaughterhouse.

The float bowl has a huge split in it. Might be a little tough to find parts for. I also have two blades for it.

It might be interesting to find out the age of that saw.

We have a couple and sharpened properly they can do a decent job. Mine came from a log home builder.

If the bowl is of a straight forward shape it's usually easier to turn one out of a chunk of scrap.

Pretty cool! I never seen one before. Looks more like an Outboard motor than a saw!  Use that for a day or two, you'll have arms like Arnold ;)
