Cuttin’ buddy got a new Stihl Farm Boss and wanted to try it out this morning. Our other buddy met us at the cutting area and we got part of a load of Fir, Hemlock and Alder mix.

I was surprised the saw came with a .325 chain. It ran smooth and seemed to cut well.

Nice looking saw. Is that a 271 or 291? Did you get to cut with it?

Nice day out there. Always fun cutting with others.

I’m not sure. I know so little about Stihl I didn’t know there were two available. I’m thinking maybe 291.

I sure wasn’t going to chance running it. Too fat and lazy to get up on the pile anyway.

Warm day but nice breeze blowing.
No rush so it was a very relaxed cutting session.
Somebody had cut some BIG Fir rounds and left them there.

Looked like good but I couldn’t get them split.
