That issue is usually due to cutters being dull on one side. On a new chain?

Has me stumped! Wondering if it's the wrong bar and the grove is too wide?

Make sure the bar us square, it would be odd though being new. I've had some new chain with the depth gauges all over the place, if they were low on the right hand and hugh on the left, that sure would make the saw cut bad.

Not good for sure, and I am sure a bit aggravating on a new saw.

My 362 was doing that last week. Kept pulling to the right. Thought it was how I was sharpening in. So I went and got a new chain and the new chain did it also. Pulled to the right at first, then I changed how I was holding and pushing the saw. Then cut to the left...:hair:
Still not sure what was causing it...

    Boy I'd hope not!!
It's been used very little. I've only cut a couple cords with it...

I was hoping it was just the way I lean on the saw

Well with your years of experience.
We know it's not "operator error"

Gotta be a bar &/or chain issue.
    Oregon Skip chain ?
Chain size not match bar size ? ( .050 bar & chain? )
First cut hit a nail/rock on one side?

Though I bet you already checked that stuff.

Need new glasses. LOL.  :D.

Did Woodwidow, mess with it just to make you :hair:.. No other guesses, because as bogydave its not the operator, so other option is salesman error, as he sold you a chain bar combo that did not go together or fit sprocket??

Can ya rock the chain back and forth in the bar? Thinking the groove is wider than the drivers.

My friend the issue is with the chain or the bar. Not sure what the dealer will be able to do other than point you in the right direction, maybe offer to sharpen your chain, or set the depth gauges properly. Do you have to torque on the saw at all to make it cut?

If I had to guess this is probably the longest bar you've ever ran before? Longer bars exaggerated small problems with poor chains and bars, that wouldn't be a problem on a 20" bar & chain. Can we get some nice clear pics of the cutting teeth of the chain. I've seen many chains that the owner claimed were perfect, that were actually totally rocked out.
