I recently acquired a stihl 026 that would not start, so the cylinder and piston looked fine, so while I had it down I replaced the rings and both crank seals. The intake boot, impulse line and fuel line all replaced. Pulled down the carb and it looked fine. So whats yall say about the break in of the rings.

I heat cycle everything when new or rebuilt using a non synthetic oil. Opinions will vary bigly from "run it like you stole it", to what I do, and everything in between. Id, at a minimum, let it warm up a few minutes before giving it the beans.
