What would you guys recommend for a add on pellet stove my house is a 1700 sq ft ranch and it will be in the basement. It will have to heat the basement and first floor. It will be hooked up to the duct work.

unless your gonna do some jerry riggin to hook up to the ducts there are only a few stoves available that are designed to be hooked up to ducts. The fahrenheit 50 is one the drolet eco 65 is another and Ravelli Holly C there may be 1 or 2 others but those are the 3 that come to mind.

I know he had the Fahrenheit but he could have changed it, it has been a few since I was there. I will look into the stoves Rich250 is talking about. Thanks.

If you can find a Fahrenheit, you won’t go wrong. I picked mine up used off CL about 5 years back. I’m heating about 1650 square feet on the main floor and half a finished basement. The unfinished side stays warm from the waste heat.

Only thing I’ve replaced on it so far was a combustion blower and the slicer (part of the self cleaning burn pot assembly). It’s some of the best money I ever spent.
