Haven't posted in awhile. Didn't do much firewood this last year. I have been burning Bear Mountain pellets for the last few years. Early this Winder, I went to buy some and they had gone up 30%. I did buy a half to, then bought a few bags more after that. Then i was in Tractor Supply the other day and they had some pellets for $6.99, which is what I used to pay for Bear Mountain pellets. I grabbed 4 bags to see how they burned. When I got home, I realized they were Lignetics brand, which had been horrible for me the couple times I have used them (some years back). We burned them, and I asked my wife (who usually takes care of the stove) how they were working. She says that she feels they burn longer and hotter than the Bear Mountain pellets. Anyone use Lignetics recently? They say they are a premium pellet, and have the same specifications on the bag as the Bear Mountains. Thinking of headed down and getting a half ton of them, which I hope will last the rest of the Winder, if it ever stops raining and blowing here in California. Here is a pic of the bag...
We’ve been burning the Appalachian blend of GS and liking them more than chewed up pallet blends available locally to us. PS - nice to see you pop in bigfrank
Went back to get some more and they are all out. Local store said the were getting another 550 bags in, but hadn't came in yet. Said maybe this Sunday. I'm headed down there tomorrow just in case. Wife says its the best pellet we have ever gotten. Been burning pellets for over 25 years.
