Everything in this wall is out of pallets except the treated piece that contacts the ground. It will all be painted white with barn and fence enamel. I even reused the nails... I have one more 10ft wall and two end walls to go tomorrow if it's still nice outside!
Dang Pete. Expecting a hurricane down there? That thing looks like it's built like a brick poopy house. Kinda' short walls. I'm gonna' guess you have a plan.
Yup it will be a modified version of this design. I'm making it 8ft wide 10ft long with an overhang on each side so I don't have to wrap the plastic over the front.
They are to hold the hoop so I can walk inside they are the outer walls. There will be two 3ft by 10ft beds on each side and a higher up shelf on the back and sides for pots. We are going to use black edging rolls for the beds rather than raised beds just to save money. I am so far at about $70 to build everything plus the uv plastic. I have everything except the cattle panels and the plastic laying around. It would be great to score some cattle panels but alas craigslist doesn't have any... O and there will be a roof bean for snow weight and general planter hanging too.
When I was looking for a cant hook on CL , didn't find any. So, I Put up a wanted add for one, got a hit, and got one cheep
Thanks bro I'm building the remaining walls today and hopefully painting them. That one only took about an hour soo here's to a nice day! It isn't supposed to rain so I'm crossing my fingers... I have a buddy's landscape trailer to get the cattle panels but it's full of firewood So I probably won't get the panels till later this week.
New teaser for you guys...The ground needs to be leveled first as well. The gap on the top of the wall will be gone too after it's installed.
Looks good Pete. What kind of house do you think you can muster up for me if I supply the pallets? It doesn't have to be too fancy, just a vacation home or something of the like. Nice work btw, I look forward to seeing more.
