Poulan pro 455 with 28 inch Oregon bar, yardsale find and after my great friend Mike did a carb rebuild it now runs great. Stihl ms362 non m-tronic 24 inch bar. I guess I wanted a 60cc saw and I guess I just like chainsaws.
You did alright there, that 455 is a real powerhouse for its size, based on the Pioneer P40/41/42 series I believe in late 70's to mid 80's before the Electrolux deal & Pioneer/Partner merger. CORRECTION: The 425 (65cc) was based on the Pioneer P40 series, the Poulan Pro 455 is 72cc & a lot different.
The poulan pro 455 is the same as a pioneer p45 I think. I'm not complaining I paid 125$ for it at a yardsale, comp seemed great and it has an almost new bar on it and it came with a parts saw also. The top end is toasted on the parts saw. And it's missing the clutch cover. I like the pioneer saws because my dad and uncle we're running p61's as falling saws when I was in middle school. Other than a small homelite dad had those 61's are what I used to learn to cut firewood with when I was 13-18 years old.
