so I was going to buy the voyager grand insert but things changed and I need to use that money X 2 for a new fence. The fence is a need at this point with 2 German Shepard’s 1 of which is 85 pounds and the second one only 18 weeks old. So i went back and started the search all over again. I came up with the century insert that northern tools sells. All the reviews are great on it but figured I’d ask the experts! It’s the CW 2900 any optimism on this stove?

Made by SBI...they make good stuff...not fancy but a lot of bang for the buck. I have a Drolet 1400i...smaller version of the CW2900...warming my toes by it right now :)

The Drolet 1800i would be the sister stove to the CW2900...Menards has a good sale on the 1800i sometimes...if you live where there are Menards...

Oh man...I dunno...I think I recall the 1800 comes with a thermoswitch on the blower, the other one no? If that makes any difference...I think they would heat very similar...maybe one looks better to you than the other? Or can find a deal on one or the other? I found my 1400i on CL for $250...I wanted a 1800 but I don't have a big enough FP to pull it off...the 1400 was a tough enough fit, let alone going bigger

They aren't the same stove. Similar...get the Drolet. Don't be an American and buy something vaguely American sounding that's really not. :loco:

It's a good unit, I'm running mine right now.
