It goes on the excavator. It's also got a seat and hvac. Well it's at least painted "saw colors". This is age related medical equipment, should help me keep burning forever. The grapple arms pull what you're cutting across the knife on the bottom. Supposed to have an 12" +/- capacity. Perfect for my thinning project.
I need to make the mounting for the excavator. I dropped off a template for the fab guy to cut out and get the pins. I'll weld it to that plate. Then there's 4 hydraulic lines I need to have made up. This might be a week or more depending mostly on the mounting "ears" getting cut out and machined. I am very excited myself. It should be a huge help. This is what I'm working on That mulched area was as dense as the background. Then there were a lot of trees bent over or that had the tops broken off from a late wet snow last April. It's been years since sunlight hit the ground and growth was stifled. I have a contract with the NRCS that pays for a portion of the work.
Looks more like a shear than a saw. Nice piece of equipment regardless!! Keep that thing away from the rocks!!
It is definitely a shear. A real logging type "buncher" is not just an attachment a goober (me) can stick on an excavator. This is the basis of my information and investment.
