Ya think the lift in cause it to squat more than should. I was thinking of making some racks for the back so haul more but that might be too much

    Welcome to the forum Cavtrooper.

If you look around you will find the part of the forum for boilers and that may interest you.

That is a big load. Truck should handle it but that trailer might be a bit overloaded. Sometimes it pays to get a load weighed so you can best judge how much wood you should haul. But many of us keep on throwing more wood on anyway. :D

Oh that trailer used to be way worse when it had wooden sides. I lighten it up by using angle iron fram for side frame and just hog panels for the sides. Really helped. One day it'll get replaced by dump trailer

What do you have for splitting the wood and how old is your stove. There used to be a lot of those around.

I use just a county line splitter. My stove is brand new. I had a mountain 500 before. It sprang too many leaks to keep up on and my uncle is a dealer for heatmor so got a deal on it. Looking forward to firing it up this week
