    Hi,

Thought I would introduce myself, we bought a farm last year in Norway to get away from the city life. One of my passions is firewood work.

We are both 31 years old and bought a 360 acre farm in the south of Norway. Most of the farm consists of woods and marshes. Just before Christmas I bought a tsumura bar for my new Husky. Thought I would update with some pics of mye current stash. Keep in mind that the season for CSS is just getting started, and I still have about 10m3 to go on my 3-year plan. Most of the species growing here are softwoods, but they burn well.

We have two german short haired pointers, pictured is Krutt ( Norwegian for gunpowder :) ) the young and promising. We also have a 4 year old female but she is training for competition this weekend so no picture.

    Welcome to the forum Pazora

That looks like a great piece of property and with both of you being 31 (prime of your lives!) you will get to enjoy that for many years. May it serve you well. It is good you are thinking on the 3 year plan and it appears you stack your firewood a lot like we do here, using steel roofing for covering and cribbing the ends. The only thing different is we generally stack 3 rows together and sometimes more and I don't like to use pallets to stack on but instead just cut some saplings in the wood to lay down and stack onto those.

Softwoods are fine as are the dogs.

I'm wondering what kind of climate you have there summer and winter?
