Kraft's have $$ in and own the name "Inferno" which I personally think is the best name in the industry to name a pellet...but sadly their last product didn't live up to the name...or so I have been told... I think having a Cornith pellet in their bag is a step up for them and some of my dealers have had better results than the RI product, but don't think it is setting the industry on fire...so to speak. I have been in the industry for over 6 years and its good see many manufactures in that time frame up their game, Inferno being one. Its good for the industry and its even better for the consumer... There is a place for a lot of pellets and will seek their level of acceptance as this whole bio fuel industry is growing not just here in the US/Canada, but also worldwide... so there is wonderful demand from many places, which creates fabulous opportunity from many sources.

Not sure, I didn't see a price per bag listed. They had two tons sitting out front of the store, and I think the price for those was $259. The UPC on the bag is the same as the UPC on the Inferno Gold bags. It's not clear to me if that means the same product "should" be inside, or if the UPC is simply an indication of the same vendor/manufacturer? The last bullet on the bag reads "Exceeds all standards for premium hardwood pellets" which leads me to believe these may be hardwoods as opposed to the Inferno Golds which are marketed as a "softwood blend", but that could just be a clever marketing trick. The other difference I noticed is these say ash < 1% where the Inferno Golds say ash < .07%

This Big Y is a hike for me so I don't think I will get back there to buy any. If I see any show up local, I will grab a couple bags though.

P.S. I drove past TSC today and noticed a bunch of new pallets arrived, and they appear to be covered with a pink / red plastic weather wrap. Something I've never seen before, anyway. They were closed, so I will stop in tomorrow to find out about them.

I've seen the rebagged MWP with the TSC bags wrapped like that.

OK, happened to be in the same area today so I stopped by the Big Y again. Would you believe they still had these? Maybe a clue in this picture will explain why. Is it just me or does this remind anyone else of the closet scene from E.T. ?

I haven't been to the local Big Y in a few weeks. But that's what they were going for by me as well. They had a lot sitting out front...maybe 2 tons, for a few weeks. Before the first -0 cold snap, they were gone in days. For that price, I'm sure they're making a nice margin per bag.
