I finished paying off my new dishwasher and brought it home yesterday. As a surprise for my wife, the kids and I installed it this morning. Its running its first load right now!
Reading the title I thought one of the kids finally got tall enough to reach all the way i the sink to do the dishes for you
Just in time by the looks of it! What ever happened to that house you worked on and were going to talk to your boss the next day to red flag it and get the owner something safe?
HA, Ha. I had to remove a 2 foot wide cabinet to make room for it. That's all the stuff that needs to find a new home. As far as that house goes, I have no idea. I brought it up to my boss and he couldn't believe it. He didn't want to do anything about it, said it was their problem.
We have similar wives They talked about getting one and I said sure just tell me the 30 inch base cabinet that you want to lose. I still get to do the dishes
Hooray SD Steve !! Just FYI, it took me awhile to learn how to use the new ones. Holy cow they have to run forever compared to the old dial ones. That, and our new (er) one is so darn quiet I have to go lean down and listen to make sure it's actually running.
I bought a Bosch myself late last year after our 20 year old finally quit. I was amazed at how quiet that thing is. So far very happy with it.
Sound level was something I was concerned with. My house is built so the master bedroom is on the other side of the wall from where the dishwasher was going to be. Didn't mind paying a little extra for it. You can't even hear it unless you're standing in the kitchen and trying to listen for it.
We have the same one.... it’s almost too quiet. She will turn it on, an hour later I hear some weird noise... thinking something is going on outside... she giggles, and says it’s just the dishwasher....
I feel your pain on that one. I have disk issues, but they arent nearly that bad most of the time. Thankfully, 90% of my snow removal is either via the plow truck, or the snowblower. Minimal shovel usage.
