Splurged a little since both tax refunds arrived last week.... Not cheap but ''coffee table'' books with hundreds of high quality photos seldom are

Bailey's had a sale on the brand new Coast Redwood book, the Timber Fallers one is the new 2nd edition with over 60 new photos from Author/Photographer/Timber Faller/Tree Climber Gerald F.Beranek's archives.

About 8 pounds for the pair, hours of fascinating reading with historical text, stories about the men in Northern California who worked here from the mid 1970's to mid 1990's.

Photo of McCulloch Super Pro 125 with racing kart engine.Large 2nd growth Redwood in Northern California,James Creek,Jackson State Forest,June 1985. :tree:

The big dude in the pic got that way from wielding that big 125!!

Good books, I could get lost for hours in reads like that! I recently have been buying older blacksmith books, just picked one up from 1974 about antique wrought andirons and hearth tools from the 1600s through the mid 1800s......getting some ideas for when I have the forge up and running......
