I need a new 20” bar for my ms262cm. What should I get and where’s a good place to get it?

Did you mean 261? I’ve always used a 16” rollomatic e purchased from my favorite Stihl dealer. Some folks prefer 18, or 20” on a 261.

I like Tsumura light bars, they are lighter and require less maintenance than less expensive bars (Oregon). I just searched web for the mount type dl and gauge and chose the best price and shipping.

Bang for the buck those Tsumura’s really earn their keep. Sugihara seems to be the same steel but their oiler holes need opened up a little. Both go much longer than any other bars I’ve used (except Cannon) before needing the rails dressed.

yeah, fat fingered that 262, I like the extra reach of the 20” bar, it helps when I’m ripping cedar logs for the wet spots in the woods too

Thanks, I’ve got a Tsumura light bar on the way.:saw:

X2. Mine came with a 20 and used it for a bit, but prefer the 16" which has been SOP for a while now.

I bought a 20" Tsumura premium light bar for my bigger saws. Really liking it so far. Recent pic of it on my MS400 IMG_4650.JPG

I really like the tsumura "light and tough" on my dolkita. For the slight price difference over the stock bars, it weighs less and is definitely bling tastic at bare minimum.
