Well found myself wandering around on my "lunch break" so figured would get some unique wood pictures. May need some members from Asia and South America to help with the BTU of these trees. Wandered down the west front of the Capitol and headed to the Botanical garden. Some huge willow oaks More Ok now the fun ones. Here is a Japanese Pagoda Tree This is a black pepper tree Of course everyone knows the Chilean Mesquite tree A fan favorite the Mexican Dioon The easily identifiable Palma De Pegamento Part II coming up less tree stuff though.
Ok finish up my "lunch break" with these pics. Have a great weekend everyone and feel free to move this if it does not meet the forum specifics here... Fruit tree's are really dense I hear so why not burn this beauty a Kumquat tree And since everyone has a problem or viewpoint on politics here is a special treat for the wood stove! Filled with tons of hot air, its light and would probably burn fast and hot I give you the Capitol firestarter kit Well we may as well end on some beautiful stuff since I threw politics in the mix Anyways hope everyone enjoyed a view of things from the Botanical Garden here in DC!
Nice orchids! I've got a green and white paphiopedilum like the second one you posted that's blooming now.
