is the back of the nc30 hot during operation. i would assume so.
the reason for the query is that i am putting a double brick wall, just dry stacked, behind my IS. my friend is in the market for a stove and has settled on the nc30, and we are wondering whether this type of heat sink would work on it as well.

There is a welded on heat shield across the whole back. It is not hot. Warm but not hot. The blower air passes under the heatshield so it is barely warm with the blower running.
