Anyone ever tried this? I'm rendering some lard right now for it, got the chicken in a buttermilk marinade. This is my first go at this recipe, but I am using my southern fried chicken family recipe as the basis for it. Pics will follow.
I've been wanting to do this for a couple months. The finished product looks amazing! Now you have me thinking this needs to happen...soon
So. Do tell. What spices makes it hot? Are they in the sauce on the outside? Is there spices in the breading?
Salt the night before. Buttermilk and red devil cayene hot sauce in the marinade, with some bread and butter pickle brine. Marinade for about 4 hours. Breading is just flour, let it sit 15 minutes after breading before frying, the coating sticks better. Sauce afterwards with melted large and butter seasoned heavily with cayene pepper, smoked paprika and some garlic. Sweeten with a lil sugar, add more hot sauce if needed. Serve on white bread, top with bread n butter pickles.
Grizzly - that's looks freaking unbelievably delicious! I could go for that........ recipe? I'm going to the food store tomorrow!
I pretty much gave it in my last post, just look up how to pan fry chicken and you can put it all together.
