Watching a video this morning and this guy mentions correctly the hook on the quick hitch doesnt hook. He says Tractor supply sells this thing that he doesn’t name very well. Its a swivel link thin* best i can tell. My searching on Tractor Supply didnt help anyone?
Shoudn't be necessary with correct implements? I use mine to hook a tiller, ballast box and bushy with no modifications other than some pin bushings.
Agree with RCBS, you shouldn't need that unless your quick hitch top link hook can't fit in where it needs to go on your attachment's top link pin.
I can see that the quick hitch is leaning too far forward but that’s not the question. I’ve never seen that type of QH attachment, all I know of is the one that looks like a tuning fork. Used to get some length from QH to the implements. What lukem said.
Yeah that is to accommodate for the not able to get the hook attached issue with those quick attach units
This fixed this problem on my quick hitch. It moves the hook out just far enough to work. Amazon.com: VIAGL Cat 1 Quick Hitch Top Hook Fit for Harbor Freight : Automotive
There is also the occasional implement that has only one set of holes for the top pin or the bracket isn’t wide enough to fit the QH hook. That’s where the extension bracket can be helpful.
