I moved to Arizona in the beginning of March. Maybe in the future, if I get a place in the upper elevation, I might pick up a stove again. But, fore the foreseeable future, I am stoveless.

If you ever have the opportunity to buy a home that requires three stoves to keep the house warm, you might want to rethink that plan.

It's been a strange 8 years of burning wood. I can't say it was all enjoyable. But, it was interesting. I am looking forward to this winter where I don't have to arrange my schedule based on the wood burning cycles of the stoves.

I'll still be around. Long term, I would like a place that gets a real winter. I have some land north of Flagstaff that I would like to visit. Haven't seen it in 14 years. Maybe I could put a Yurt on it and get a stove going in there.

Wow BrowningBAR , you finally got outta there, eh?
Lots of struggles with that place, so I'm glad for you.
Plenty of places that get real winter, but maybe you should hang out right where you are for a couple minutes before jumping back in.
Good luck in whatever it is you're doing now.

Install a fireplace. Use the "negative heat loss" for AC.

Good luck in AZ. You've put some good posts up helping folks trying to get things figured out with their stoves.

Good luck and burn outdoors. We're not picky......... wood and fire is all we need. Nothing wrong with hoarding firepit wood. Be well!:)

I've never seen people try to burn palm tree wood. I've often wondered though.....

I'll be bugging my palm trees soon enough. Saturday.
