Hello new here just thought I'd share with you my non-epa stove pics.
Fisher Mama bear in the shop.
Timberline insert in house. Was a slammer but welded on adapter and connect to a s.s liner. Both stoves are in great shape and work very well. 20161023_205311.jpg 20171221_155335.jpg 20180103_215819.jpg

Nice TMACK! I know the Fisher will crank it out! I have one or two... Is/was your Timberline an insert or a stove pushed in the fireplace? It looks like it has the brackets for the shroud.

Yes its an insert i left the heavy shroud off too get a little more out of it. Made a shroud above it from sheet metal and filled with k wool to keep xtra heat from going up chimney cavity. Like i said its hook to a s.s liner so its no longer a slammer. Works well puts out a lot a heat.

I have a friend about 25 miles up the road from me has a Timberline stove. It doesn't seem as big as your insert though. I know there were a couple models as my memory serves me. I haven't had to much interaction with them, at my old hunting lodge, they had a "BIG" Kodiak wood stove and that thing would blow you out! The Timberline is a nice worthy stove. :)

Yes this thing is good size.I originally wanted a fisher insert but came across this one and it was like new maybe couple fires in it. And it was cheap around 100$. Even though it’s a fisher spin off/Cal Cotton special.

o_O:eek:... No argument there!!! I know my Buddies heats nice also! There were "many" stoves that came along after Fisher hit the streets. Quite a few were real nice, "as the Timberline" and the Kodiak's. There were also several that were real pieces of $#!T. :picard: They didn't make it long... ;)

I found a pic of the size of my Buddies stove, hope it comes through. I knew it wasn't as big as yours!

My uncle in Winsor county has had his mama bear heating his home for over 40 years! He did send it out to a shop to have it refurbed last summer. I think it cost him $750 but its now 'better than new ' and he commented it was less new. He is happy because he figures at 67 the stove will out last him.

Good for him on getting that stove rebuilt.

I like old stoves, and while I do not know who had the stove before me, I am thankful to whoever had the presence of mind to keep it maintained, all the parts and accessories together, and to rebuild it.
